ABOUT: Biography
Kayne Kawasaki is an award-winning cultural theorist and UK Black history educator based in Peckham, South East London. He began his career teaching in secondary schools within his local community, where he developed a strong foundation in education and a passion for accessible, impactful learning.
In 2020, Kayne shifted his focus to UK Black history, expanding his reach through digital platforms and building an engaged audience of over 80,000 followers. His work combines historical insight, cultural analysis, and data-driven perspectives to deepen public understanding of race and identity in the UK.
Kayne has delivered a TEDx talk showcasing one of his original cultural theories and has collaborated with more than 30 corporate organisations, providing expertise on diversity, history, and social context. He also led the Notting Hill Carnival historic billboard campaign, contributing to the historical recognition and celebration of one of the UK’s most significant cultural events.
Today, Kayne is widely regarded as a trusted voice on race relations, known for his clear, factual, and thought-provoking approach to history and contemporary cultural discourse.
